Romeo Lavia has joined the injury list at Chelsea Football Club after sustaining an injury on Friday (today).
According to reports, Lavia sustained a muscle tear in his ankle during a training session at the club.
The new signing from Southampton is yet to feature for his new club after joining from Southampton for £58m (58 million pounds) in the just concluded 2023 summer transfer window.
Prior to joining the West London club in training, he had been training alone as instructed by Mauricio Pochettino – who said the Belgian international missed out on proper pre-season actions, hence needs to improve his fitness.
Lavia has now joined Chelsea’s injury list with the likes of Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Armando Broja and Christopher Nkunku – who are yet to feature for the Blues this season.
Reece James and Carney Chukwuemeka have also been sidelined due to injury this season after taking part in few games.
